The analysis of oxygen, argon, and nitrogen in gas mixtures is very important in industries such as gas preparation, catalysis, polymer synthesis, metallurgy and atomic energy, as well as many scientific researches. At present, the analysis of these gases uses gas chromatography almost without exception. Use molecular sieve adsorbent (5A or 13X) or polymer stationary phase (such as Porapak Q) as the separation column; in order to solve the problem of separation of oxygen and argon, which are difficult to separate substances, a low column temperature, such as -70℃, must be used. Its disadvantage is that it consumes a large amount of refrigerant, complicates the temperature control device, and has poor sensitivity.
