键合固定相常用于毛细管柱，因为它使得色谱柱的品质显著提高。为了切实弥补填充柱和毛细管柱之间的性能差距，有必要开发填充柱的键合固定相。现在填充柱色谱法通过使用键合固定相能实现更短的柱老化时间、低柱流失和长柱寿命.
在生成过程中的溶剂淋洗消除了导致老化时间延长的低分子量的聚合物碎片.。我们的键合填料稳定时间少于30分钟。由于键合固定相的流失低，检测器能够在高灵敏度下操作，数据处理系统流失补偿的必要性大大降低.
键合相比非键合相的稳定时间长得多。由于交联键合产生的分子间作用力更强，键合相比非键合相更能够抗氧化。由于这种材料是完全交联的，故而不会发生相的移位，这种情况常常发生在非键合相。
