英国伦敦Barts癌症研究所 The Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) www.bci.qmul.ac.uk

The Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) is one of the top five cancer research centres in the UK (RAE 2008 UK Government ranking), and is 1 of 13 Cancer Research UK ‘centres of excellence’.
Our research goal - to prevent cancer and develop better diagnostic techniques and treatments - ultimately will improve patient survival and enhance the quality of life for those with long-term disease. We also use our expertise to teach and educate students and professionals about the science of, and the gold-standard clinical approach to, cancer, and to engage our local population and make the often difficult subject of cancer accessible to anyone that requires or is interested in our research.
Location
We are situated in the heart of the City of London on the beautiful Charterhouse Square Campus. Our research laboratories, clinical trials centre and teaching are located primarily on this campus, within minutes of the new Barts Cancer Centre, one of the most advanced cancer centres in Europe.
Charterhouse Square is 1 of 3 Queen Mary University of London campuses, all based in the East End of London. Rich in history and diversity, it is in one of the most vibrant and exciting areas of London.
With the new Olympic village only a short tube ride away, our surrounding area will be a bustling metropolis of energy and activity. Whether you are studying or working here, you will get to experience both the old and new London.
