中国科学院福建物质结构研究所(简称福建物构所)创建于1960年,是国内外有特色、有影响的我国结构化学和新晶体材料的重要综合研究基地之一。
福建物构所现有职工351人,其中:中国科学院院士2人(吴新涛院士、洪茂椿院士);研究员48人;副研究员、高级工程师44人。是国家硕士、博士学位授予单位,并设有博士后流动站。现有在学博士生136人、硕士生179人、博士后8人、博士生导师38人。先后有九位研究员获得国家杰出青年基金资助,七位研究员入选首批国家级新世纪百千万人才工程,一批优秀年轻的学术带头人脱颖而出。
福建物构所研究系统下设8个研究室:结构基础研究室、材料化学与物理研究室、纳米材料研究室、应用化学研究中心、化学生物学研究室、理论与计算化学研究室、激光工程技术研究室、晶体材料研究室。同时根据国家需求和学科发展趋势,建成5个科技创新平台:结构化学国家重点实验室、国家光电子晶体材料工程技术研究中心、中科院光电材料化学与物理重点实验室、福建省纳米材料重点(工程)实验室和激光工程技术集成研发基地(筹)。
建所以来,共有228项科技成果获得各类科技奖励,其中问鼎国家科技三大奖及中科院科技进步特等奖11项、中国发明专利金奖2项。截止至2007年,我所SCI收录论文数连续五年、SCI被引用论文篇数连续四年名列全国科研机构前十位。
近几年来,福建物构所前沿基础研究学术成果的国际影响力显著增强,尤其是洪茂椿院士、吴新涛院士和曹荣研究员分别以无机化学前沿研究的评述性专章被收入国际学科性重要出版物、多篇论文进入ESI顶级引用率以及有关论文连续入选ISI“十大化学热门文献”等,在国际上产生积极影响并受到国际权威机构的赞赏。
福建物构所积极参与和融入地方社会经济建设,积极发挥中科院在闽的窗口和纽带作用,通过项目带动战略,为提高福建省的自主科技创新能力和促进社会经济发展做出了重要贡献。2003年3月,福建省批准依托福建物构所,联合省内高等院校、科研院所、企业等同行的优势组建“福建光电子材料工程技术研究中心”,2005年经国家科技部批准,正式组建“国家光电子晶体材料工程技术研究中心”。2004年以来,批准实施了以福建物构所为牵头单位的多项省重大科技专项,包括“新材料与器件”、“光电子信息材料与器件”、“太阳能电子材料与器件”等,加快促进了福建光电子材料工程技术的研究和发展。由福建物构所控股的福建福晶科技有限公司,拥有世界一流自主知识产权的专利和非线性光学晶体材料和器件的产品,于2008年3月成功上市。福建物构所对推进福建的社会经济、科技的和谐快速发展,加快福建省全面小康社会和海峡西岸经济区的建设都具有重要的意义,得到省委、省政府充分肯定。
福建物构所坚持科学的发展观和可持续发展战略,在设备购置、基础建设等方面保持较大投入力度。2001年以来,仪器装备总投资8581万元,目前有各类科研仪器4872台,总价值达1亿多元,其中价值200万元以上的仪器设备有7台,为所里的科研和可持续发展提供了强有力的保障。
福建物构所出版的刊物有中英文版《结构化学》(收入SCI),影响因子为0.548,是国家一级学术刊物。图书馆藏书45000余册,期刊400余种13万余册。
福建物质结构研究所由卢嘉锡院士创建于1960年。其前身是中国科学院福建分院筹建的技术物理所、化学所、电子所、数学力学所、自动化所、稀有金属所等六个研究所和生物物理研究室。
1961年调整合并为理化研究所。
1962年改名为华东物质结构研究所,隶属于中国科学院华东分院。
1973年定名为中国科学院福建物质结构研究所。
Founded in 1960, Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as FJIRSM) is one of the distinctive and influential comprehensive research bases in China specializing in structural chemistry and new crystal materials.
The amount of existing staff in FJIRSM is 351, including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Science (Mr. Xintao Wu and Mr. Maochun Hong), 48 professors and 44 associate professors and/or senior engineers. FJIRSM offers master, doctoral degree programmes and a postdoctoral mobile research center. At present, there are 136 doctoral-degree candidates, 179 master-degree candidates, 8 postdoctoral fellows and 38 doctoral advisors in FJIRSM. Nine professors have, so far, been supported by National Outstanding Youth Foundation, seven professors have been selected to join the first batch of National New Century Talents Project and a troop of outstanding young academic leaders are coming to the fore.
FJIRSM consists of eight laboratories: Fundamental Structure Research laboratory, Material Chemistry and Physics Research laboratory, Nano-Material Research laboratory, Applied Chemistry Research laboratory, Chemical Biology Research laboratory, Theoretical and Calculation Chemistry Research laboratory, Laser Engineering Technology Research laboratory and Crystal Material Research laboratory. Meanwhile, 5 platforms of scientific and technological innovation were established according to the national needs and development trends. They are State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry, National Engineering Research Center for Optoelectronic Crystalline Materials, Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Material Chemistry and Physics of CAS, Fujian Province Nano-material Key (engineering) Laboratory, and Laser Engineering & Technology Integration R&D Base (under preparation).
A total of 228 scientific and technological achievements have, so far, been qualified for all kinds of awards. Among which 11 items were qualified for either Three National Technology Award or Grand Prize of Scientific and technological progress in Chinese Academy of Sciences, and 2 items were taken out the Gold Chinese invention patents. Till 2007, FJIRSM has been ranked top 10 among national research institutions for the number of SCI papers for five consecutive years and the number of SCI citations for four consecutive years.
For the past few years, our international influence of the forefront of basic research in academic achievements has been significantly enhanced. The positive international impact we had and the appreciation we got from international authoritative institutions are mainly due to the chapters accepted by key international publications in the frontier research of inorganic chemistry, the papers ranked the top quoted rate of ESI, and the papers selected for ISI "Top Ten Literatures in Chemistry" contributed by Mr. Maochun Hong, Mr. Xintao Wu and Mr. Rong Cao, respectively.
We made a material contribution in Fujian Province to the enhancement of the independent scientific and technological innovation ability and the promotion of socio-economic development by active participation of the local socio-economic construction, playing the role of being a window or a link for Chinese Academy of Sciences in Fujian Province via project driven strategies. In March 2003, Fujian Optoelectronics Materials Engineering Research Center was set up with the superiorities of FJIRSM, colleges and universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises in Fujian Province. In 2005, National Engineering Research Center for Optoelectronic Crystalline Materials was approved by Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Since 2004, a number of provincial scientific and technological major projects led by FJIRSM have been approved and carried out in Fujian Province, including "New Materials and Devices", "Optoelectronic Information Materials and Devices", "Solar Energy Electron Materials and Devices" and so on. These projects promote the research and development (R&D) of photoelectron materials engineering technology in Fujian Province. Fujian Castech Crystal Inc., under FJIRSM and equipped with world-class independent intellectual property rights of patent and non-linear optical crystal materials and devices, went public successfully in March 2008. FJIRSM got fully affirmed by provincial government for its contributions to the harmonious and rapid development of socio-economic, science and technology in Fujian Province, to the acceleration of comprehensive well-off society in Fujian Province, and to the construction of economic zone on the western coast of the Taiwan Straits.
FJIRSM adheres to the scientific concept of development and sustainable development strategies by maintaining large input into equipment purchasing and infrastructure construction, etc. Since 2001, a total of RMB 85.81 million has been paid in equipment and we have 4,872 units of various types of scientific research equipment at present with a total value of more than RMB 100 million. 7 of them are valued over RMB 2 million by each. All this provides a strong guarantee for the scientific research and sustainable development of our institute.
Publications by FJIRSM include "Structural Chemistry" (adopted by SCI, in both Chinese and English version) with impact factor of 0.548. It belongs to national-level academic journals. Our library has collected more than 45,000 volumes of books and more than 13 million of copies from more than 400 periodicals.
