CRM-ASP-Mus-c is a mussel tissue (Mytilus edulis L.) homogenate containing 41 ± 2 μg/g (mg/kg) domoic acid, as well as several related compounds (see Figure 1) [1,2]. This is a replacement CRM for the depleted product CRM-ASP-Mus-b (formerly known as MUS-1b). The concentration of domoic acid was measured using liquid chromatography with UV absorbance detection. Confirmation of the results was obtained using liquid chromatography with mass spectrometric detection. The CRM is distributed in polypropylene bottles, each containing approximately 8 grams of homogenate. The bottles are heat sealed, thermally sterilized and individually packed in trilaminate pouches.
CRM-ASP-Mus-c is a replacement CRM for CRM-ASP-Mus-b (formerly known as MUS-1B). It is a thermally sterilized homogenate of mussel tissue (Mytilus edulis) contaminated with domoic acid. Each bottle contains ca 8 g of the homogenate. The DA concentration is 41 μg/g. Used in conjunction with CRM-DA-d, this CRM will assure the reliability of your domoic acid analyses
