The conductor and sheath are covered with TFE bands with color marks. Excellent wear resistance, moisture resistance and chemical corrosion resistance.
Kapton < Double Insulated Thermocouple Wire
Conductors and sheaths are covered with melted Kapton bands. Excellent wear resistance and moisture resistance, high dielectric strength (7 kV/mil), after gamma ray irradiation, the physical properties remain intact. FEP is used as an adhesive [melting at about 260 degrees C (500 degrees F)]
