Protein Stabilizer Buffers
Highlights:
-
Preserves activities of antibody, enzyme and conjugates – no significant loss of activities over a six-month period at room temperature (1:1,000 dilution) or 12 months at 4°C
-
Convenient – store ready-to-use dilutions (1:1,000-1:100,000) that maintain antibody or enzyme activity in the refrigerator – no aliquoting or freezing
-
Assay compatible – simply add your favorite blocking buffer to create the ideal diluent for your assay system or store the antibody, enzyme and/or conjugates as a 1:1,000 stock solution for Western blots and dilute in the final assay buffer.
-
Saves money – less expensive than competitor formulations or ordering new antibody, enzyme and conjugates
Introduction:
Free or conjugated antibodies are often used in immunoassays, such as ELISA, Western Blotting, Immunohisto-chemistry, and Lateral flow rapid tests. Protein Stabilizer dramatically extends the life of your valuable antibodies or conjugates, allowing more consistent results over extended periods of time compared to daily prepared dilutions.
Protein Stabilizer conserves the structure of proteins and antibodies. Thus proteins and antibodies are prevented from loosing functionality by storage. Just dissolve proteins or antibodies with Protein Stabilizer for storage in the refrigerator. You can also use Protein Stabilizer for storage of coated ELISA plates. After blocking add Antibody Stabilizer to the coated plates. In this manner treated plates can be stored for a longer time in the refrigerator.
E.g., after 4 weeks at 37 ° C at a ready-to use concentration of 100ng/ml residual activity comprise more than 98 % of the initial antibody binding properties. Thus antibodies and conjugates can be used at ready-to use concentrations in Protein Stabilizer buffer for a minimum of 6 months at room temperature or 1 year at 4°C.
Applications
Protein Antibody Stabilizer can be used in ELISA, Western Blotting, Immunohisto-chemistry, Lateral flow and any other applications. This stabilizer also contains an optimal amount of our proprietary non-protein blocker to minimize potential unspecific interactions.
Protein Stabilizer can be used to dilute the antibody or the conjugate to ready-to-use concentrations (below 20ng/ml).
