该产品主要用于混凝土的无损检测。根据混凝土声速和混凝土抗压强度的关系，可以估计其强度通过对混凝土的声速、衰减量和波形的测量，可以检查混凝土结构的孔洞、裂缝及其它缺陷的位置等。本仪器还可以应用于木材、塑料、橡胶、石墨、碳素纤维、陶瓷等材料的物理性能测量。本仪器具有波形和数字显示装置，便于观察波形和进行声时测量。仪器设有80dB的衰减器，可以测量材料对声波的衰减。
