LR1000 series flow sensors can measure the flow rate from 20 mL/min to 5 L/min. These sensors are suitable for various industrial, commercial and laboratory flow applications. FLR1000 series flow sensors use 12 Vdc power supply, which can be integrated into a data acquisition system that provides 12.5 Vdc power supply for sensors and receives 0-5 Vdc linear signals from sensors. Because of cost-effectiveness, FLR1000 series flowmeters can replace traditional glass tubes or spherical flowmeters in applications requiring electrical signals proportional to flow rate.
FLR1000 series uses impact turbine to determine gas flow rate. Turbine speed is linear in large dynamic range. The photoelectric system consists of a secondary tube that emits infrared light. Light energy is alternately reflected and absorbed by "spokes" deposited on small turbines. A photodiode detects the reflected light energy. Therefore, when the turbine rotates under the action of gas velocity, the circuit will generate electric pulse. Signal processing circuit can provide DC voltage output proportional to current speed. For example, when the rated flow rate is 20%, the output signal is 1.0 Vdc; when the rated flow rate is 50%, it is 2.5 Vdc; when the rated flow rate is 80%, it is 4.0 Vdc; when the rated flow rate is reached, it is 5.0 Vdc. The sensor can handle a flow rate higher than 20% of the rated flow rate without damage.
