Ammonium persulfate (APS) and Riboflavin serve as the initiators of the polymerisation of Acrylamide. Stock solutions of APS (10 % in water) are stable for several weeks at +4°C. Freezing of aliquots increase the shelf life (-20°C: stable for > 6 months; -70°C: stable for > 9 months).
