Skin Neoplasms Molecular Marker (CSNK2A1,CSNK2B and ERBB4) Detection Kit
Description: The kit provides a means of performing Skin Neoplasms detection method based on kinase activity assays. Three targets of molecular marker (CSNK2A1, CSNK2B and ERBB4) are involved in Skin Neoplasms. This kit includes Streptavidin Coated Plates and specific Substrate-Peptides (biotinylated peptide substrates) for detection of the activity of CSNK2A1, CSNK2B and ERBB4 which indicate the prognosis of Skin Neoplasms.

Background:
Casein kinase II subunit alpha is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CSNK2A1 gene. Casein kinase II is a serine/threonine protein kinase that phosphorylates acidic proteins such as casein. The kinase exists as a tetramer and is composed of an alpha, an alpha-prime, and two beta subunits. The alpha subunits contain the catalytic activity while the beta subunits undergo autophosphorylation. The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit. While this gene is found on chromosome 20, a related transcribed pseudogene is found on chromosome 11. Three transcript variants encoding two different proteins have been found for this gene. Casein kinase II subunit beta is an protein that in humans is encoded by the CSNK2B gene. This gene encodes the beta subunit of casein kinase II, a ubiquitous protein kinase which regulates metabolic pathways, signal transduction, transcription, translation, and replication. The enzyme localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus. Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-4 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ERBB4 gene. Alternatively spliced variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described; however, not all variants have been fully characterized. Mutations in this gene have been associated with cancer.
