BIOVIEW DUET-3 SCANNING  STATION

The DUET-3 is a very high  throughput fully automated imaging system which includes a 50 slide automated  loader, integrated barcode reader, and sophisticated software for automatically  scanning and sorting hematopoietic cells, amniocytes, cells from voided  urine samples, sperm cells, metaphases and tissues under fluorescent  illumination by Fluorescence in-situ Hybridization(FISH)  technique. The DUET-3 accomplishes fast and accurate spot counting and  identification of chromosomal aberrations such as translocations, inversions and  deletions. With the addition of an optional bright-light illumination module the  DUET-3 can also classify cells according to their morphology or  immuno-histochemical (IHC) staining.

• Fully unattended  operation of batches of 50  slides using automated slide loader

• Automatic definition/identification of scanned slides and  demographic data input using integrated barcode reader

• Scanning and classification of hundreds of cells in  minutes under fluorescent illumination.

• Fully automated FISH spot counting for all commercial and  home-brewed probes in cells and tissue. Definition of new probe is fast and  easy. Unexpected FISH patterns are identified and may be defined after the  scan

• Capable of fast scanning multiprobe panel set on one  slide

• Fast detection of rare cells according to FISH  pattern

• Sophisticated image analysis, enhancement and annotation  tools.

• Statistical results are summarized and graphically  displayed online.

Bright field  illumination option:

• Fully  automated fast scanning of the morphology of cells and tissue sections with  varied staining.

• Target  FISH(T-FISH) -Automatically combines bright field and fluorescent  image on the same cell, for all cells.
• View cell  morphology and fluorescent image on each cell, side by side
• Fast  detection of rare cells according to morphology and/or T-FISH.
