The ChromaLink™ Biotin Labeling Kit includes all the reagents necessary to biotinylate five protein or antibody samples of 25 - 100 ug in 2 hours! The kit allows the user to bypass cumbersome indirect biotin binding assays like the HABA:avidin method. There is also no need for FPLC or HPLC equipment with this the use of this kit.
Biotinylation is made easier with:
- The UV traceable chromophore containing a bis-aryl hydrazone structure.
A long polyethylene glycol (PEG3) spacer'' which reduces protein aggregation and steric hindrance caused by biotin binding to proteins in affinity or detection applications.
A N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester reactive group'' known to efficiently couple amines'' such as the e-amino group of lysine or a-terminus of the protein in aqueous systems.
