• The cell culture area on this membrane is a transparent'' permeable'' circular ‘window’ formed by an immobilized protein.
• The ‘window’ in the presently offered MS10 membrane is formed by immobilized serum albumin. However'' Haskel Technology can form this ‘window’ using other proteins'' such as enzymes or collagens'' or protein systems such as serum or tissue cytosol.
• One surface of the membrane is covered with microscopic protrusions which may serve as scaffolding for the growing culture. This surface appears matte when the membrane is dry.

The MS10 membrane is a rectangular strip (approx.) 2.0 x 4.0 cm. Each ‘window’ area diam. falls in the range 1.0 – 1.2 cm'' and each membrane displays three such ‘windows’.
